Hello everyone! I hope you all are as stoked for summer as I am! I've already started a to-do list for these next few months, which includes many adventures that'll keep me from the laziness epidemic that is summer break.

For those relaxed nights when I feel like staying in & watching a flick, I put together a list of a few movies that are absolutely perfect for getting into the summer spirit. Nothing says summer like beaches, vacations, vacations on beaches & more! But seriously, if you haven't seen some of the movies on this list, I highly recommend that you set aside some time to do so.

Without further ado, here are some films that will get you into the summer groove!

1. Fun in Acapulco (1963)

So, imagine Elvis Presley wants to take you on a little vacay to the splendid Acapulco, Mexico. How could you possibly turn that down? This movie is perfect for a night of fun with The King himself. Watch him act as a lifeguard & chat up beautiful women in paradise. What more could you possibly want?

2. Beach Party (1963)

This classic will have you laughing as well as singing & dancing. It stars the lovely Frankie Avalon & Annette Funicello, who did such an amazing job, they had to make three more films just like it (which you should also check out.) It really makes me wanna take up surfing or at least invest in a beach house.

3. Adventureland (2009)

Another aspect of summer: theme parks! This movie encompasses a bunch of young adults trying to figure their life out whilst working a summer job at an amusement park. It reminds me a lot of Freaks & Geeks especially since it takes place in the eighties. Another huge reason to watch it is because it has Kristen Wiig & Bill Hader (oh, & Kristen Stewart).

4. Almost Famous (2000)

I'm a huge fan of music from the seventies and this movie was set in 1973, which was a great year for rock 'n' roll. It kinda gives an idea of what it was like being on tour with a band back then. It also portrays all the struggles of being a teenager at that time, which are plenty.

Hello everyone! What have you all been up to for the first few weeks of July? Hopefully lots & lots of mischief! Here a few things I've been loving lately & wanted to share.

Something I have brought back from Cincinnati is a love for silent movies (Don't ask!). First of all, they're simply hilarious. I'm a sucker for some silly comedy (which includes a man being chased by a large group of cattle or the other way around). The actor pictured above is a well-known silent movie actor named Buster Keaton.

I like this pic a lot because it reminds me to keep saving more money for travelling. My mom does this thing where she adds a dollar to a jar each day, which I think is a great idea. Eventually I'll save up enough money to travel to Asia like I've always planned to do.

Something I'll be doing a lot within the first few weeks of school starting. Once the semester starts, my table will have piles & piles of books for school. It get's so frustrating being a student & having clutter.

Once I achieve decluttering my house, I hope to do a post about it, if possible. It should be so simple, yet it's totally not! I feel like it takes way less effort to clutter, than to declutter.

Here's a handmade slave bracelet I found on etsy that is absolutely gorgeous! The shell adornments make it very mermaid-like. I've been shopping around for a slave bracelet & I can't seem to find one in stores. Etsy is the perfect place to look because of all the unique handmade stuff.

Here's a quote from a song I've been listening to all week, which is called Sunshine by Matisyahu. The song is from his new album Akeda, which I'm loving. It's a good song to listen to while feeling down because of it's upbeat vibes. You can find the music video here on Youtube.

Well, that's it for some weekly goodies!

Hello everyone! Just wanted to share a few of my favorite lippies for summertime! I never leave the house without carrying some of these babies around. It's just not natural to travel without a pop of color for the lips.

Summer should make you wanna feel like going bolder than usual. At least that's how I feel. Wearing these gives me confidence & puts me in the summer spirit! Just don't get any lipstick on your teeth because that's not cute!

Much to nobody's surprise, most of these are Revlon since I love me some Revlon lipsticks. Not sure if they're just compatible to my lips or everyone else's, as well. Regardless, they're cheap & come in all types of fun & natural colors.

1. Loreal Lipstick in Volcanic

I love this color for summer because it stays true to its name. It will give you volcano lips & the pigment lasts for a while. This is one of the more electrifying coral lipsticks. The rest are a bit more subtle, yet still amazing.

2. Revlon Creme Lipstick in Coralberry

Another coral lipstick, but with a more pinkish hue. I don't normally gravitate toward pink lipsticks, but this I feel is the right balance between coral & peach.

3. Revlon Creme Lipstick in Kiss Me Coral

When I'm opting for a color that is between the boldness of Volcanic & subtlety of Coralberry, I go for this one. I'm not gonna lie, I mainly added this to the mix because I couldn't choose between Coralberry & Kiss Me Coral on which one's my favorite!

4. Revlon Matte Lipstick in Really Red

Listen up! If you're struggling to find a drugstore lipstick that gives you that perfect matte red lip, look no further. This has been the only red lipstick that works perfectly for me. It doesn't have any pink undertone to it.

One of the most frustrating things about looking for a perfect red lipstick is they all look too pink. This lipstick is very, very red. Not pink. Not orange. Nothing but glorious redness!

5. NYX Lipstick in Indian Pink

Like I said, I don't often wear pink on my lips, but I love this shade. It has a gold hue & makes the lips look a lot fuller. I remember it first caught my eye because it's name, Indian Pink. Can't pass up anything to do with India!

6. Revlon Creme Lipstick in Sandalwood Beige

This one is a lot different from the rest because it's very natural & will go with almost any look. This is my current favorite MLBB (My Lips But Better) lipstick. Instead of adding a pop of color, it highlights the natural shade of the lips, hence MLBB. It makes them fuller & deepens the color with its slightly brown hue.

Well those are my fave summer lipsticks! I'm sure there are many more out there, so let me know what your faves are for this season!
